more about me

My hope is that this page will provide you with more insight and information about me which may not be visible through my web site. For example, you might be a potential client contemplating on whether or not to hire me. I'm sure the photos speak for themselves and that you're quite confident in the quality I produce. Okay, what next? "can we trust this guy to give us what we want, and is he going to meet the deadline?" That's understandable, because you and I have never met and you're just about to place an important project in my hand. Rest assure, you are in good hands. I've had a good number of new clients from overseas this past year who took the chance with me, and they were all happy with the results. Customer satisfaction is really important to me, and I'll discuss what your requirements are with you thoroughly by e-mail, and phone. I need to do this because the only way I can feel comfortable about accepting an assignment is by understanding exactly what your needs are. Although I'm good in many aspects of photography, I don't claim to be the master of all, so there may be times where I will tell you upfront that I may not be suited for the job. Ofcourse I will try to refer you to someone suitable if I know of such a person. And yes, I speak fluent english where you can communicate your ideas like you do on your own turf. Now, isn't that a relief ? Unless I'm out of town or out of the country for location work, you should get a prompt reply from me within 24hrs, and not a week or a month later. Please understand that there is a time difference between our countries. Tokyo is about +14hrs of EST, about +17hrs of PST, and so on. Reliablity is another important characteristic of mine.

Hi Cory, thanks for your comment and my appologies if my reply is late. I just realized that there was a commentleft. I saw your pictures. I guess you're a photojournalist/wedding photographer in Hawaii. Assuming that your site is for your business, my advise is put yourself in the shoes of the customer who is going to be looking at your web site. It'll help you decide on what's necessary and what to throw out. I'm no computer geek but I've surfed enough web sites where I know what feels smooth and what can be a dreadful experience. I believe that people just want the information they are looking for in the shortest amount of time. So I think organization and ease of navigation are very important. If your site is to draw wedding clients, I would probably leave out the images you have of the gunmen pointing guns at their hostages. I think it spoils the happy feeling. On the other hand your puppy will make everyone smile.
