this month's cover

This month's cover story for Electronic Business magazine (Reed Business Publications) features photographs I took of Mr. Toshio Nakajima, CEO of NEC Electronics. Like myself, Mr. Nakajima seemed excited about being on the cover of an American publication, as he was patient and quite cooperative with me trying to get the right look. Mr. Nakajima has been using for his corporate profile image, a portrait picture that was taken a while back when he lived in the states. He said that he never got pictures in Japan that he liked, so he uses this old photo which in my opinion was quite good. In the western world, people prefer dramatic lighting to sculpt a face, whereas the japanese market often uses flat lighting. I think he'll be quite happy with this cover image.
