Where have I been? Fall is in the air, and I didn't get a great sense of summer this year. Well, I did go to the beach twice and the reflection on the left was taken during one of those occasions but even here, clouds seem to say "end of summer."

The photo business has been really tough this year with budget cuts by everyone, and magazines folding left and right. Seems to be a global phenomena, and I heard that many photographers are selling their studio and houses in some parts of the states.

A shocking news is to hear that one of my favorite photographers Annie Leibovitz is having some financial difficulties. Her work is probably the only inspiration to me these days as "quality" work.

Times are tough for photographers everywhere, but the excitement for taking innovative and creative pictures is still there. Let's hope we don't lose faith in what we like doing best.

I will be at the WPPI Asia event over the next few days working as a translator for photographer Doug Gordon's seminar, so if you're there stop by to say hello.
