Taiwan

A few pictures from my trip to Taipei earlier this year. I was shooting some people down there for the annual report of a global insurance company.
After the job was done, I had half a day to tour a city which I have never been to. Taipei was very similar to Tokyo in the way the the whole city felt, and the way people dressed. The people were very nice and helpful. However, the people here seem to take their religion much more seriously as you can see from the crowd at Longshan temple during a regular week day. The serene waterfall located at the entrance to the temple is such a contrast. Third picture is taken from behind the driver's seat of an airport limo bus heading for Taipei Int'l Airport. The bus pulls over to make a short stop, and a woman pops in to drop off a package like a drug deal. Next thing you see is the driver chowing down on his lunch with chopsticks while he drives. Now, that would be the fastest way for the driver to lose his job here in Japan. Two countries similar and very different.
