spring in kyoto
If you should ever visit Kyoto during the month of April, you do not want to miss "Miyako Odori" (cherry blossom dance). This absolutely beautiful 1 hour show is performed by the famous maikos and geishas of the Gion district during the month of april only. This year marks the 133 rd year of the show. This one hour performance over a backgound transition of four seasons is a visual feast for all (photo below is the autumn section of the show). 4 shows daily, price: 4,300 yen with tea ceremony before the show or 3,800 yen w/o tea ceremony.
This is the best, highly recommended.

let's talk about uh... lunch?
Below is a picture of two executives of a prominent IT venture engaged in a business talk . In reality when you try to stage real people, it becomes quite awkward and doesn't look the way it's should look. So, very often people you'll see in the picture would be talking about lunch or non sense, whatever makes them comfortable. In this case, well... it was guy's talk.
