people who live in glass houses...

are nice people, as I found in this case. I walked by this house in Malmo during daytime and thought how lovely it must look at night when it's lit up. So I came back around 8pm, and to my dissapointment the house was dark except for a small light by the porch. I could've just just said "oh well..." and left, but when you're in a foreign country for a limited time where you only have one chance you get bold or...impudent? Anyways, I had the nerves to ring their doorbell and ask them (politely ofcourse) to turn all the house lights on. That's asking alot especially from a stranger who comes to your door in the middle of the night. Well, the Swedes must be one of the purest and nicest people on earth. The elderly couple immediately ran around the house to turn on every single light and they had many. On top of that they started to light every candle they had along their window sill. Just incredible!
