this month's cover

This is Mr. Mogi, CEO of Kikkoman which is known worldwide for their soy sauce. I think I only had about 3 minutes to shoot this picture, but I think it came out well.

Sometimes you're asked to do a cover on the spot, or have the original shooting plans changed at the very last minute which can be really chaotic. Yesterday I experienced a last minute location change at a prominent japanese corporation when the president came in and decided he wanted to be shot on a different floor. But thanks to digital, I can handle the situation much better than I used to when I had been using polaroids and film.

This friendly Canadian chap is the guy who puts my web site together. He operates a web developement business in Tokyo called MarchForth International. From bilingual web sites in english and japanese to creating shopping sites, he's the guy to talk to. Very soon he will be opening his own shopping site called Unique Japan. And so it's spring!

It was a beautiful warm day in Tokyo today. Such a relief after all the rain and cold weather we've been having! Well, I just had my web site updated with some new photo additions so I figured I should revive this blog as well. Here's a picture of a plum flower at my neighborhood Hanegi Park taken with my trusty little Casio Exilim pocket camera.
